Friday at 4:30 pm marked the final date and time for submitting USDA REAP grant and guaranteed loan applications to state offices. The program is now closed for 2009 funding. USDA now has all applications it will accept and will go through these selecting applicants for funding from what is expected to be a record-sized turn out in applicants of all kinds.
It will be a good 30 to 60 days before applicants are informed whether or not they will be funded in this nationally competitive program. I do not know the exact day applicants will get a response from USDA’; this is an estimate and I won’t have that information any sooner than any applicants who will personally receive notice.
