Here are a few tips from my book about how to simply create a marketing plan for a small farm business.

“Marketing and advertising can be very expensive, and that’s often the reason I hear from my colleagues in small farm business that they don’t do much of it. Hiring a marketing company or advertising agency can be costly, but here are a n umber of ideas that are either low cost or free. No matter how much money and time you spend on your business’s marketing, you should spend at least some time on a marketing plan. Building a plan costs nothing and gives you a clear focus ab out how you’ll get your message out to consumers.

To begin a marketing plan, do the following:

-Decided what your message is

-Decide what vehicles you’ll use

-Decide the timeline for your message

-Research expenses

-Keep the marketing going by knowing when you’ll start the next message”
